The rules for using LooksLab.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if that is greater, to use LooksLab. By using this service you confirm that you meet that requirement. If we learn that a user does not, we will disable their access.

Separately, and regardless of your own age, you may not upload images of anyone under 18. That includes photos of other people and photos of yourself taken before you turned 18, and it applies whether or not the person pictured consented. If we learn that an uploaded image depicts a minor, we will delete it and may disable your account.

2. What LooksLab is

LooksLab is an entertainment and cosmetic self-improvement tool. It analyzes photos you upload and returns subjective, algorithmically-generated observations about facial features, proportions, and grooming. See our Disclaimer for what this is not.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload photos of anyone other than yourself, or of anyone who hasn’t consented.
  • Upload illegal, explicit, or otherwise prohibited content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or the underlying models.
  • Use LooksLab for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial self-analysis.

4. No guarantee of accuracy

Results are generated by automated, subjective analysis and are provided “as is,” without any warranty of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Facial analysis of this kind is inherently imprecise and should not be relied on for any decision of consequence.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LooksLab and its owners/operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any decisions made in reliance on a scan result. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of LooksLab will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

6. Intellectual property

LooksLab’s software, design, and branding are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission. You retain ownership of the photos you upload; you grant us a limited license to process them to generate and show you your results (see our Privacy Policy).

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
